Ben Cote is an American guitarist, vocalist, songwriter, performer and producer. He discovered his father’s Van Halen records at the age of 14, and has been playing the guitar ever since. Ben cites some of his biggest influences as Randy Rhoads, Zakk Wylde, Eric Clapton, Richie Kotzen, Joe Perry, Slash, and, of course, Eddie Van Halen. Ben graduated as a Summa Cum Laude graduate of the world famous Berklee College of Music, where he was the recipient of the 2016 and 2017 Achievement Awards and the 2018 Professional Music Achievement Award. After graduation, Ben was asked to come back to teach at Berklee, and he taught the Contemporary Rock/Metal Ensemble for the 2018 and 2019 Berklee Summer Guitar Sessions, before becoming the Berklee College of Music Guitar Department Coordinator.
Ben is the guitarist and vocalist of The Ben Cote Band, and has released several albums of original music, including the 2016 “Tight Jeans and Sunglasses,” 2018’s “Get Your Licks In,” 2019’s EP “It’s Pronounced ‘Cody’,” and 2020’s “What the Doctor Ordered.”
Ben Cote’s first signatured guitar was the Sea Glass BC1, which was built in 2018. In 2020, Sea Glass released the “BC3,’ Ben’s new signature model, which is a custom version of the Sea Glass “RM3.”
